Installation

Tenerife, and more specifically in the Reina Sofía Airport, was where ADELTE supplied the first passenger boarding bridges. The contract was signed in 1982 with the Department of Air Transport Infrastructures belonging to the Ministry of Transport, delivering the four passenger boarding bridges in 1984, three of these being of the model PTT-200/340-3D and one of the model PTT-246/426-3C.

The exterior of the passenger boarding bridges has a smooth finish, rounded edges, stainless steel guide tracks and a minimum docking height of 1.9 meters. The interior has buttoned rubber flooring, fluorescent lighting, stainless steel guide tracks in the lower corners and melamine panelling. The lifting and traction mechanism activation system is hydraulic and the anchoring system of the passenger boarding bridges is via reinforced concrete foundations.
