Installation

Tangier is Morocco’s main international passenger’s port. The port, situated on the Mediterranean coast, operates shuttle boats from the Spanish port of Algeciras and ferry boats from Sète (France) and from Genoa (Italy). The Tangier Port Authority assigned Somagec, a Moroccan company, to reconstruct the elevated walkway on the pier leading to the terminal. ADELTE was subsequently contracted to design and install two passenger boarding bridges able to fit on the limited pier space and parallel to the walkway.
Two passenger boarding bridges with half open / half glazed tunnels with non-slip paint on the metal plated floors. Each bridge is 15 metres long and is equipped with a cabin on both sides of the tunnel. The single-mast supporting structure is unique. These bridges have a hydraulic elevation system and telescopic ramp.
