About the project

Costa Crociere contracted ADELTE to provide a HYDRA Passenger Boarding Bridge in 2014 at the new cruise terminal in the port of Savona, Italy. The design of this SPBB will facilitate servicing Costa’s newest cruise ship with overhanging lifeboats, the Diadema. Costa Crociere relies since 2002 on ADELTE’s expertise and state-of-the-art technology for its cruise terminals in Italy and Spain. Including the current contract, a total of six SPBBs have been ordered by the leading Italian cruise company.
The HYDRA Passenger Boarding Bridge for Cruise Terminal 2 in Savona is equipped with our most advanced docking technologies, especially designed to service the new Costa mega-cruise ship, the Diadema. It is able to travel on rails along the whole length of the terminal building, while ensuring continuous traffic flow on the quay.
