Installation

The Spanish port of Melilla is experiencing a boost in ferry traffic and, after having received its first large cruise ship, it hopes to attract more cruise ships to call on this historical Spanish enclave on the north-african coast. The port authority of Melilla commissioned construction company ELSAN PACSA to commence the construction of a modern passenger terminal ‘Estación Marítima’ ADELTE was subsequently awarded a contract to design and manufacture a passenger boarding bridge of the HYDRA range.
Single structure passenger boarding bridges with glass mounted tunnels and an electromechanical elevation system. The docking ramps are hydraulic and the cabins are fixed. The bridges are pLC controlled and are specially designed to serve a wide variety of ships. The bridge uses an electromechanical elevation system and its bogies slide along rails in the quay.
