Installation

Uruguay’s Administración Nacional de Puertos contracted ADELTE to design, manufacture, and install a CENTAURUS-type Seaport Passenger Boarding Bridge (SPBB) at the Ferry Passenger Terminal of Colonia del Sacramento.

The new SPBB was installed as part of the expansion of the terminal’s Muelle de Ultramar and is engineered to operate efficiently at dock level while accommodating significant tidal variations. Its robust, adaptable design ensures seamless integration with the terminal’s infrastructure and ferry vessels, providing enhanced safety, accessibility, and comfort for both passengers and terminal staff.

This installation marks the third ADELTE boarding bridge at the Colonia Ferry Terminal, a key gateway for ferry passengers traveling between Uruguay and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The project reinforces Colonia’s role as a vital link in regional maritime transportation and highlights the Administración Nacional de Puertos’ commitment to modernizing port infrastructure with innovative, passenger-centric solutions.
