Installation

In March 1994, we signed an agreement with AENA for the purchase of 5 passenger boarding bridges for its facilities. Installation and commissioning of these units was completed in 1995. The solution we provided consisted of 5 telescopic passenger boarding bridges for aircraft access of the Apron Drive 2C-type (with two increasing bodies).
The passenger boarding bridges feature a smooth exterior finish with round corners and stainless steel guides and interior cladding with rubber flooring. The boarding bridges are also equipped with two air conditioning units, a rotunda, support column, lifting frame and aircraft docking cabin as well as support for the airports fixed bridges, four semi-automatic docking guides and one automatic docking guide to facilitate aircraft parking. Tarmac painting was also handled by our company, where a special, low-friction paint was applied to ensure reduced tire wear. In this case, the lifting mechanism is electromechanically operated whereas the traction mechanism is hydraulic. The traction mechanism consists of a compact unit mounted on the drive axle structure.
