Installation

Souci Ports S.A. selected ADELTE as the preferred designer and manufacturer of a PBB for its new cruise terminal facility in the Port of Santo Domingo. Sans Soucí Ports S.A. opted for a KRONUS PBB design. ADELTE delivered the PBB being operational prior to the arrival of the first cruise vessel of the season: Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas.
A glass mounted passenger boarding bridge with 3-tunnels – of the Aprondrive increasing section type. This boarding bridge will have the possibility to extend from 25 to 49 meters. The smaller tunnel section will be adjacent to the cruise terminal building and the larger tunnel section will be adjacent to the cruise vessel entrance door. The cabin of this bridge is equipped with a uniquely integrated hydraulic telescopic docking ramp that, when attached to the cruise ship, automatically follows the vessel’s movements and will immediately undock in case of an emergency. The bridge is completed with the movable rotunda, the support column and the elevation frame with radial wheels. This bridge can serve any cruise ship and is compliant with international safety and security standards.
