Apron Drive Passenger Boarding Bridge

THE PROJECTIn February 1996 we signed an agreement with AENA for the Fuerteventura Airport in Spain and completed the installation in November of the same year. Commissioning took place in May 1997. The solution provided to the Fuerteventura Airport consisted of 5 passenger boarding bridges for aircraft access of the Apron Drive 2C-type (with two increasing bodies) with fixed bridges of 2 meters for terminal access.
TECHNICAL FEATURESIn this case, automatic access doors were added to prevent free circulation of passengers. The passenger boarding bridges feature a smooth exterior finish, round corners and stainless steel guides. Interior cladding consists of Alucobond sides and buttontype rubber flooring. The passenger boarding bridges are also equipped with two air conditioning units. The tarmac was cleaned and painted (horizontal signage) after preliminary levelling. The bridges are secured with a concrete foundation. An electrical mains line was installed from the Transformer Station to power mains cabinets (CBTH) with UPS protection for the boarding bridge, 400Hz, PAC and VDGS. The passenger boarding bridges are also equipped with a SIGMA connection system for improved communications with the airport. All mechanisms are electromechanically operated.
