Barcelona, 6th of March 2012 – ADELTE Ports & Maritime, the world leading designer and manufacturer of sophisticated Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) for cruise and ferry terminals, has been awarded with a contract of the Canaveral Port Authority to install two new HYDRA model PBBs.

The Canaveral Port Authority is building a new cruise terminal which will be equipped with two of ADELTE’s Passenger Boarding Bridges. The main challenge in this project is the short period of time in which the PBBs need to be supplied. The PBBs have to be on service by this July 2012.

The challenge is perfectly achievable because of ADELTE’s organizational system with a comprehensive follow up of each and every process during the project as well as the implementation of innovative logistics solutions involving the transport of fully assembled units from Barcelona to Port Canaveral.

Like always ADELTE keeps improving every aspect of its PBBs. The cabins installed in Cape Canaveral will allow the PBBs to dock mega cruises assuring passengers maximum comfort at all times. The PBBs are equipped with state-of-the-art safety systems which guarantee a continuous follow up of the vessel’s movements at all times and that the slopes stay in between the limits established by the ADA (American Disabilities Act).

ADELTE reinforces with this project its presence in the United State ports, adding these two units to the ones already in service at the ports of New York, Norfolk, Mobile, Baltimore, Miami and San Diego.
